Busy, busy, busy
It's difficult to believe that my sister had major surgery just a few weeks ago. The past few days she has been quite busy preparing for an organized, fresh start to the new year (while continuing to cook for me most days, by the way). For those of you facing this or similar surgery, and for those of you who will provide after-care, just know that when the patient turns the corner, the progress is unbelievably amazing and quick! Hang in there, place your worries in God's hands, and know that there is always hope. As our priest said with great emphasis on Christmas morning, "Never, ever let someone steal your hope." Because of my faith, I know I will never let someone steal my hope. I will, however, gladly and freely share mine.

This is my story about being diagnosed with breast cancer at age 39. I thought I was out of the woods, but four years late it came back. This is my quest to be a two-time survivor.
